This Web Story features Diane Carlson Evans. She served as a nurse in the Vietnam War from 1968-1972, treating patients on the frontlines of battle. After leaving the Army, she helped advocate for the honoring of female veterans and helped create the Vietnam Veterans Women memorial in 1993 and she is currently the president of the Vietnam Women’s memorial Foundation. We honor her service.
