DME Intern Spotlight: Isabel Nulter

The DME internship thrives due to the dedication and skills of our interns. In these posts highlighting the work of individual interns, you can get a sneak peek into what they do, how it’s developing them, and whether DME might be a good fit for you too! If you’re interested in joining us, please see the link at the bottom of the blog post.

For this intern spotlight we spoke with Isabel Nulter, one of the interns in the Writing department. In this post she explains what she does as a Writer and how interning with the DME team has been a positive experience for her.

What do you contribute to the DME team and how do you further their goals?

I help to write Veteran of the Day and Veteran Resources Articles. I also occasionally work on transcription projects.

How does your work at DME help you reach your professional goals?

This internship has helped strengthen my writing and research skills, which I feel will help me in any future career.

Why would you recommend DME to others?

It’s been a wonderful experience having the opportunity to help share stories about our veterans who have sacrificed so much for their country. The flexibility of this internship is a great benefit because you can work on projects no matter the time or location, while also getting to work with interns from across the country! I would absolutely recommend this program to anyone who wants to feel they are really making a difference while in college.
