Facebook Interns play a key role in the operations of the VA’s Facebook Page, which disseminates content to over 1.2 million individuals who have “liked” the page and to others who may see its content. Facebook interns will use Salesforce Social Studio to schedule social content across social platforms that were originally written for the VA’s blog, VAntage Point. They will also play a role in finding comments that require action (such as vulgar comments or slurs, spam, personally identifiable information- addresses and social security numbers – and even threats made towards oneself or others), and subsequently label and report them appropriately.
Prospective interns should have experience using Facebook, concise writing skills, attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and an understanding of social media management.
